Become Part of the Story
Creativity. Community. Nature.
Bougainvillea Eco-Arts Retreat is more than a destination—it's a place where people, creativity and nature come together. Throughout the year we welcome artists, musicians, dancers, writers, environmentalists, volunteers and curious travellers to share ideas, learn from one another and contribute to a growing creative community.
Whether you're interested in joining an art residency, taking part in a workshop, supporting environmental projects, experiencing village life, or simply spending time with inspiring people, we'd love to hear from you.
Every visit helps nurture creative exchange, strengthen community relationships and support our vision of using the arts and environmental stewardship to enrich lives in rural Rajasthan.
If our vision resonates with you, we'd be delighted to welcome you to Bougainvillea. Get in touch to explore how you can become part of the journey.

Beir Bua: International Residency Initiative in India by Blue Drum, Ireland. The Jai Ho Event.
Beir Bua Returns to Bougainvillea Eco-Arts Retreat – November & December 2026
Last winter, something very special happened in our village.
Artists from Ireland and Rajasthan came together at Bougainvillea Eco-Arts Retreat for the first Beir Bua residency, sharing dance, music, storytelling and creative exchange with local children, young people and the wider community.
Over several weeks, friendships were formed across cultures and generations as participants learned from one another through workshops, rehearsals and conversations. Rather than simply presenting performances, the residency celebrated creativity as a way of building understanding, confidence and community.
The journey culminated in a vibrant outdoor promenade performance, Jai Ho, where local residents, visiting artists and children performed side by side before an audience of several hundred people. It was a joyful evening that demonstrated the power of the arts to bring people together across languages, cultures and backgrounds.
This November and December, Beir Bua returns for its second year.
Building on the success of 2025, the 2026 residency will once again bring artists from Ireland and India together to create, collaborate and celebrate with our local community. New workshops, performances and opportunities to participate will be announced over the coming months.
Whether you're an artist, supporter, volunteer or simply someone who believes in the power of creativity to connect people, we invite you to follow the journey and, if you can, join us at Bougainvillea Eco-Arts Retreat.
Together, we'll create another unforgettable chapter.
